Medium to deep ruby-red with dark pigmentation. Opulent, powerful aromas of blackcurrant & ripe black cherry are overlaid by cocoa butter & vanilla. The wine's acidity is lovely & fresh & the tannins are very smooth. Plentiful new oak combines seamlessly with luscious dark fruit. The wine's structure is big, rounded, smooth & dominated by finely crafted oak. Alcohol is perfectly in balance & the finish lasts very well. This is a very good if not quite great Mouton Rothschild.
